A lorry fire closed the M11 south of Cambridge today.
“Thankfully there were no casualties,” Cambs fire said.
Firefighters began tackling the fire on the M11 near Girton from around 8am this morning.

“The road will be closed for some time while firefighters deal with the incident and for the road to be repaired,” said a Cambs fire service spokesperson.

“Please check your route before you travel.”
National Highways East says the M11, J14 northbound exit slip road is closed.

“ Traffic is also currently held on the #M11 northbound approaching this incident,” it tweeted.
“Please take care, as there is fog in the area and visibility is poor.”
