Motorcyclist Brian Dewey,73, killed in crash on B1098 in Cambridgeshire

A 73-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash on the B1098 has been named as Brian Dewey of Main Street, Little Thetford.

In a statement his family said: “Brian was much loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”

Emergency services were called to the B1098, Sixteen Foot Bank, between Stonea and Manea, at just after 12pm on Saturday (3 June) following a collision involving a blue Volvo V60 and an orange Kawasaki Vulcan motorbike.

Paramedics attended but the rider of the motorcycle, Brian Dewey, died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 64-year-old woman, received minor injuries.

“She remained at the scene and is assisting enquiries,” said a police spokesperson.
