Five flood warnings and 21 flood alerts are in operation across Cambridgeshire tonight as wet weather continues to cause disruption and havoc.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue urged to “make sure you are aware and prepared by signing up for flood warnings in your area https://orlo.uk/siFaL
“If you are out on the roads today, you’re likely to see some surface flooding.
“Be sure to check road conditions for where you’re driving to and keep your distance from the vehicle in front.
“Remember, drive to the conditions of the road, and slow down.
“If a road is closed because of flooding, take note of the signs. It’s closed for a reason.”
Their warning added: “It’s not worth the risk to drive through flood water. If you do get stuck, you’ll need to call your vehicle recovery company. The fire service will only respond if there is a risk to life – they won’t be rescuing your vehicle.
