Pillion passenger on a motorcycle left with life changing injuries after crash

Peterborough police plea for witnesses after crash

A crash at Werrington, Peterborough, last night has left a pillion passenger on a motorcycle with life-changing injuries. Cambridgeshire Police today appealed for any witnesses or dashcam footage.

The crash, which involved a red Yamaha motorcycle and a black Mercedes EQA, happened at about 8.10pm in Skaters Way, at the junction with Goodwin Walk, Werrington, yesterday (11 December).

Passenger in ‘critical condition’

Emergency services attended the scene and the pillion passenger, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The motorcycle rider, a 17-year-old boy, received serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and was also taken to hospital for treatment.

The Mercedes driver, a man in his 30s who was uninjured, remained at the scene and is assisting enquiries.
