An appeal to trace a teenager – wearing an electronic tag after being charged with 21 burglary and thefts – has been successful. Police confirmed tonight that Bailey Winkle, 18, from Peterborough, is in custody.
He was wanted in connection with the burglaries and thefts across the city and Lincolnshire from October, as well as breaching his electronic tag.
Winkle, of Willonholt, Ravensthorpe, Peterborough, was initially arrested by Cambridgeshire police on October 24 but released on bail pending further enquiries.
He was further arrested on Monday November 6 and charged with 21 offences.
Winkle first appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on November 7 and was granted court bail with conditions to wear an electronic tag and adhere to a curfew between 7pm and 7am.
He was also banned from entering Westwood in Peterborough, North Hykeham and Heckington in Lincolnshire, or contacting named individuals.
