A Peterborough man has been charged following two knife-point robberies at bookmakers in Norwich. The first incident happened at a business on Aylsham Road, Norwich, at 5.42pm on Saturday 15 February.
The second happened on Reepham Road, Norwich, on Sunday 16 February between 7.30pm and 8.01pm.
Cash was taken in both incidents.
A man in his 40s was arrested and questioned by officers in Kent on Friday 21 February.
Subsequently, Mark Barton, age 42 and from Wesleyan Road, Peterborough, was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of possession of a knife and one count of criminal damage.
He was also charged with burglary, going equipped for burglary, possession of a knife, criminal damage, and obstruction of a constable, in relation to an incident in Kent.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 22 February where he entered a guilty plea for the offences in Kent.
No plea was entered for the Norfolk offences.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 21 March.
