Anna Smith, launched her campaign to be elected Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in just 27 days time.
Activists from across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and beyond joined Anna for a rally before speaking with voters across St Ives and the rest of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Anna was also joined by Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Environment as well as MPs from across the East of England and beyond.

Anna’s campaign to be mayor is focused on delivering the change Cambridgeshire and Peterborough needs by
- Fixing potholes and improving bus services
- Tackling crime and theft
- Building infrastructure as well as new homes
- Delivering NHS services when and where you need them
- Creating more jobs and opportunities for local people
Anna Smith, Labour’s candidate for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayor said:
“ I am delighted to welcome so many activists to St Ives today. I can’t wait to speak to as many voters as possible over the next five weeks.
“As your mayor I promise to work with our Labour government to drive investment and opportunity across our region and build the infrastructure we need to take advantage of the incredible opportunities our region has. And, of course, fix our potholes.
“I know this election is going to be incredibly close, I look forward to earning voters’ trust on 1st May.”
