A drug dealer has been sent back to prison after being caught with drugs and cash.
Malachi Otubela-Jackson was spotted by officers carrying out a suspected drug deal in Mill Road on 21 November.
The 21-year-old was searched and found with 13 wraps of cocaine and 15 wraps of heroin as well as £160 in cash.
Otubela-Jackson, of Queens Meadow, Cambridge, had not long been released from prison after being sentenced to two years and eight months for drugs offences in January 2021.
At Huntingdon Law Courts, on Monday (16 January), he was sentenced to two years and two months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
PC Ollie Hagen, who investigated, said: “Thanks to the suspicions of the neighbourhood team, there is one less drug dealer on the streets of Cambridge.
“Drug dealing brings with it a whole host of criminality including violence to our community. We’re committed to finding people like Otubela-Jackson and putting them before the courts so they can be sentenced for the crimes they have committed.
“We hope he takes the time during this second sentencing to get his life on track and away from selling drugs.”
