An arsonist destroyed 600 tonnes of straw – worth up to £40,000 – at a Fenland farm. Police and fire crews were called to Binnimoor Road in March, Cambridgeshire, at 7.30am on Sunday.

“We assisted our colleagues from Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service at the scene, and will continue to be in the area when we can to ensure everything is okay,” said a police spokesperson.
“Enquiries into the matter are ongoing.”
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service are treating the blaze as arson.

There was, luckily, no one injured.
