Peel away the autumnal blues at Ely’s Apple and Harvest Fayre, October 8th from 10 am until 4pm
Visit Ely has announced “Apple Day” is returning for the 23rd year in 2022.
October 8 will see many stalls including street food, cider, hand crafted delights, apple crumbles, pies and more!
Taking place on Palace Green from 10am, this free festival of fun and flavours celebrates the long and rich history of the orchards and harvest in Ely and surrounding areas.
Activities will include the much loved and fiercely competitive “Longest Apple Peel” competition and the riotously funny Apple and Spoon race.
There will also be guest appearances from the cast of ‘Cinderella’ the much-loved KD Theatre Panto that kicks off 9th December 2022.
Once again, the day is made possible by the sponsorship of Watergull Orchards, who have supported the Apple Day in Ely for many years, providing prizes and much more to make sure the event continues to bear fruit.
Anna Bennett, manager of Visit Ely, said: “We were thrilled to see the huge reaction the event received last year, making it extra special as we co-ordinate the event with Ely Cathedral’s Harvest Festival.
“We cannot wait to see what 2022 brings. This is truly one of our favourite events of the year.”
