A breakdown recovery truck driver is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a hit and run driver in Peterborough.
It happened at about 8.15pm yesterday evening (11 January) on the eastbound carriageway of the A1139, Frank Perkins Parkway.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after what they are calling “a serious fail to stop collision in Peterborough”.
The pedestrian, a breakdown recovery driver who was tending to a vehicle, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the road and the pedestrian in the moments leading up to it to can get in touch either online or via 101, quoting incident 434 of 11 January.
Police say they don’t have a description of the vehicle at this time
