Cambridgeshire detective charged with child porn offences

A 32-year-old Cambridgeshire police officer has been charged with five counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo images of a child.

Det Constable James Jordan is also charged with three counts of misconduct in public office.

He first appeared before magistrates in Luton earlier this month and will appear in court again next month, at St Albans Crown Court.

Cambridgeshire police released details of the first court appearance today, citing “some confusions around reporting restrictions which have now been resolved”.

DC Jordan is based at Thorpe Wood Police Station, Peterborough.

He appeared at Luton Magistrate’s Court on November 9 and the following day at Stevenage Crown Court. charged with five counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo photographs of a child and three counts of misconduct in a public office.

DC Jordan had a second appearance at Stevenage Crown Court on November 10 and has been bailed to appear at St Albans Crown Court on December 12.
