Neighbours were evacuated from part of Wisbech last night after a window was smashed and an unknown substance sprayed into a house. Fire and ambulance crews rushed to the scene to assist Cambridgeshire police.
A spokesperson for Policing Fenland, Cambs Police Facebook group, said: “A crime has been raised and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.”
The drama unfolded at a house in Victoria Place, Wisbech, “following reports of a window being smashed and a substance sprayed through the smashed window”.
The police spokesperson added: “We assisted our fire and ambulance colleagues at the scene with evacuating the nearby properties and checking over the occupants, who were not injured and did not require hospital treatment.”
