Its museum may be the home of the ‘Great Expectations’ manuscript but the town’s insatiable appetite for burgers is probably greater – so expect huge queues tomorrow when Wendy’s opens in Horsefair on Thursday (April 27).
Doors will be open from 7:00 am “so make sure to get there early to get a slice of the action” advises the HorseFair Shopping Centre who have leased the unit to the American burger chain.
“Wendy’s Wisbech will be giving away exclusive ‘We Love Wisbech’ t-shirts to their first 50 customers, so make sure you get there in time,” says a spokesperson for the Horsefair Shopping Centre.
More likely though the first customers will be more anxious to get their hands on the Wendy’s-style breakfast menu which includes such culinary delights as the breakfast ‘Baconator’, croissant sandwiches and the classic egg & cheese Sandwich – with optional bacon or sausage.
Since re-entering the UK market in June 2021, Wendy’s operates from more than 25 locations across the country.
In January Wendy’s opened their first UK drive-thru at Brampton Hut.
