One villager has solved the problem for neighbours and friends by offering a novel ‘recycling service’ for Christmas trees.
Annelie Hollstenius of Swaffham Prior has reminded villagers that her goats have, as always, their seasonal appetite for a discarded Christmas tree.
“Like every year the goats will happily eat your Christmas trees,” she said.
And there’s no need to book an appointment!
“Just throw them over the gate,” she’s told villagers.
Plenty of villagers are already taking her up on her offer and she expects a small stream of trees this week in the run up to 12th night.
“My goats make me smile most days,” said Annelie who has been offered the tree disposal service for several years.
