Crash driver arrested after being twice over limit

A drink driver who rolled and crashed on a busy Fenland road, was twice over the drink drive limit.

The crash happened last night (Wednesday) at around 11pm on the A141 Chatteris bypass.

“A white Citroen motor vehicle rolled over and left the carriageway,” said a police spokesperson.

The driver of the vehicle failed a road side breath test.

“The driver provided a reading of 86ugs (limit 35) The driver was arrested and taken to hospital to be checked out before heading to custody.”
