Boxing Day stabbing in Peterborough – man charged

A man in his 20s was stabbed on Boxing Day in Peterborough.

Police revealed today that they have a Peterborough man with attempted murder, possession of a knife in public and criminal damage after the attack.

The incident happened just before 10pm to Cromwell Road, Millfield, after police were called to reports a man had been stabbed.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Aitzaz Sadiq, 36, of Cromwell Road, Peterborough, has been charged and has his first court hearing in relation to the case today.

A police spokesperson said: “Do you have concerns in your community?
