A white Ford Focus ST is being sought by police after two successful and one unsuccessful break-ins at three Cambridgeshire shops last night (Friday).
Norfolk Police are also investigating a break-in at Upwell Co-op near Wisbech.
At just before midnight four men with crowbars were disturbed attempting to enter Spar, in High Street, Sawston, the men made off empty handed in the white Ford Focus ST.
Shortly before 1am Co-op, in North Street, Burwell, was targeted.
A window was smashed, and a number of items were stolen.
A few minutes later Co-op, in West Street, Isleham, was then broken into. Again, with a window smashed and items taken away.
DI Tom Rowe of Cambridgeshire Police said: “We believe these three offences (Burwell, Sawston and Isleham) are linked. I would urge anyone who witnessed any of the incidents to get in touch with us today.”

Burwell Co-op issued a statement apologising that the shop would not be open until later today once forensics have finished their work.
The Co-op apologised “for any inconvenience caused.”
Across the border into Norfolk, Upwell Co-op was also broken into last night.
Again, police forensic teams are at the scene.
