A Cambridge man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in the city. Shellem Miah, 24, of Kingsway, Cambridge has been charged with attempted murder, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has appeared before magistrates and was remanded until 4 November when he will appear at Cambridge Crown Court.
A 24-year-old man from Cambridge, also arrested after the incident, was bailed until 3 January. He was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, theft of a motor vehicle and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Police were called at about 12 noon on Wednesday (2 October) by the ambulance service with reports that a man had been stabbed in Nicholson Way.
Officers attended and the man, 52 and from Cambridge, was taken to hospital.
Both men were arrested in Cambourne on October 3.
