A fight in a Cambridgeshire village turned sour when Billy Parlour ran at a man brandishing two knives and threatening to kill him.
The victim tried to reason with Parlour, who still had both knives still in his hands and was shouting, a court heard.
They continued to brawl and shout, with Parlour threatening to break the victim’s nose.
Police arrived and Parlour was arrested.
He has now been jailed.
Parlour, 32, was seen fighting with the man in Saffron Close, Littleport, at about 2pm on 6 May.
He ran at the victim with a knife in each hand while threatening to kill him.
Last Wednesday (9 August), Parlour, of York Way, Thetford, Norfolk, was jailed for a year and one month, having pleaded guilty to two counts of threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
Parlour also pleaded guilty to a count of theft after he stole beer from the Co-op, in Littleport, on 13 April.
DC Lauren Clarke said: “Tackling knife crime is a force priority so we will always seek to bring people who threaten people with knives to justice.
“Parlour’s behaviour that day was appalling and dangerous, so I am pleased he has faced justice.”
