Two men were arrested last night (Monday) after attacking a man in March, Cambridgeshire. The victim has been left with serious injuries.
Cambridgeshire police said today they were called “just before midnight last night (3 March) with reports of violence in the library car park, March”.
On arrival they found a man “with serious but non-life-threatening injuries; he remains in hospital at this time”.
Two men aged 18 and 22, both from March, were arrested on suspicion of assault GBH and robbery. They remain in custody at this time.
Police did not confirm if this was linked to a report made by a CambsNews reader of an incident in Creek Road, March, in the early hours where our reader spoke of “a male allegedly with a knife was beaten with a pole by other males and a female”.
Our reader claimed: “An ex-police officer was there to get the males off and give first aid to the male, I hope the man is ok as looked a pretty awful attack.”
Responding to the statement from Cambridgeshire police, our reader added: “Well definitely something happened in Creek Road. I saw a man’s body on the ground”.
