Five people have been arrested and £5,000 of stolen goods recovered by police in Peterborough. The haul of stolen goods retrieved includes:
213 confectionery products
103 bottles of shampoo and body wash
46 boxes of fabric cleaners and softeners
Clothing such as pyjamas, jeans, shoes and jackets
“This is just a snapshot of the suspected stolen items that have been uncovered by our Peterborough city centre neighbourhood officers over the past couple of weeks,” said Cambridgeshire police.

£5,000 worth of items have been uncovered during patrols of the Wellington Street car boot, Peterborough, and a search of a house “to assist Gloucestershire Constabulary with an ongoing investigation into thefts from shops across the country.

“Five people have been arrested in connection to these items, and investigations into the matter are ongoing”.
