A balloon festooned entrance marked the opening of B&M discount retailer to the Cloisters, Ely. The company has taken possession of a previous 13,208sqft Wilko and has carried out an internal and external refurbishment programme.
The launch of the new store has created more than 30 jobs.
Staff were asked to nominate a local charity to celebrate the opening and choose Ely Foodbank.
In addition to opening the store, the foodbank received £250 worth of B&M vouchers, which will go towards helping the charity to continue their work.
