Contrary to earlier reports, Cambridgeshire police confirmed today that one of the drivers involved in a 3-vehicle crash on Wednesday sustained serious injuries. Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a three-vehicle crash near Whittlesey left a man with serious injuries.
A lorry, tractor and van collided in Ramsey Road, between Farcet and Pondersbridge, at about 6.20am on Wednesday (1 May).
“The van driver was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries,” said a police spokesperson.
Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the build-up to the collision should report it through the force website using reference CC-01052024-0076.
Anyone without internet access should call 101.
Roads in and around the B1095 near Whittlesey were closed for a time after the crash.
Police were alerted to the crash at around 6.30am and roads approaching the scene were closed to allow for recovery.
The crash happened on the B1095 Milk and Water Drove which is between Pondersbridge and Stanground.
