A third, typical of many, said: “Our experience with the Barton Manor Care Home has been nothing but positive.

“The staff are all friendly and helpful, the home is beautiful and most of all my mother feels safe and she always looks forward to her meals (after relying on frozen ready meals for the last year).

“Mum was quite capable of looking after herself at home but being less mobile now was always complaining about loneliness and feeling unsafe at night.”

Barton Manor is purpose built and has 66 beds and provides a full range of services including respite, dementia, and residential care.

The home has many amenities including a sweetshop, a cinema, a library, activities also hosts a café bar and a restaurant-style dining space.

It was officially opened by the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, Dr Bharat Khetani.
