End of Movember and now clean shaven to welcome in December and open that first door on the Advent Calendar.
The whole Movember movement grew out of an initial idea in Australia to highlight awareness around men’s health – in particular, prostate cancer.
Over the years, the movement has grown and spread internationally with the month of November coinciding with the appearance of moustaches on faces around the world helping to raise millions to fund medical research and arguably more importantly spread a message for men to make awareness of all aspects of their physical and mental health a part of their day to day lives.
There isn’t a day goes by when I don’t think about my dad, and I miss him every day.
Looking in the mirror everyday over the last month, I would be reminded that my dad (always proudly clean shaven and the one who taught me how to shave) would have thought the whole thing absolutely ridiculous and absurd.
Well, the last month was for you dad.
Hope you’re still laughing, and I am sure you will understand why I and my fellow Mo Brothers do what we do.
Finally, for those of you who have got to the end of this message
– remember one of the best Christmas presents you can ever give your dad, your grandad, your son, your brother, your uncle,
Is putting a proverbial arm round them and asking the question
” Are you really taking care for yourself?” and staying around to listen.
Merry Christmas Everyone
