A convicted murderer released from prison and living in ‘approved premises’ in Peterborough has been arrested after breaching terms of his release and fleeing the city.
“Carl Hyde has been located and arrested in London this evening,” said a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police tonight.
“Thank you for sharing our appeal to find him.”
Hyde, 67 absconded from an address in Peterborough and in so doing breached his licence conditions following his release from prison.
Police launched a hunt for him believing he could be found in the Reading, Oxford, and London areas where he “has connections”.
His ‘outing’ to London now at an end, police in Peterborough will question him.
