One of the star attractions in Peterborough this summer will be a Dr Who themed exhibition at the museum. Entitled Adventures in Time & Space, the museum is heralding it as a “must-see exhibition landing this May”.
From Daleks to Weeping Angels, it will feature a world of monsters, props, and memorabilia in one of the most extensive displays of Doctor Who artefacts in over a decade.

Looking in on early preparations yesterday were MP Andrew Pakes, city council leader Dennis Jones and Cllr Anna Smith, deputy mayor of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
“I’m always happy to do my bit for Peterborough,” said Mr Pakes. “Today it was foiling a Dalek invasion of the city.

“The Dr Who exhibition this summer is major news for Peterborough. A brilliant way to bring visitors into the city and bring a smile.”
Earlier this week the Friends of Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery greeted legendary artist Jeff Cummins ahead of his upcoming exhibition which will form part of the Adventures in Time and Space event.
Jeff is a renowned illustrator whose work has had a significant impact on popular culture. His impressive portfolio includes Doctor Who book covers, artwork for Paul McCartney and other major musicians, as well as numerous iconic illustrations that have become widely recognised in the worlds of television, music, and publishing.

The museum friends group were joined on the day by Mr Pakes, Tom Dexter from Film Peterborough, the city’s new film commission, and Sarah Wilson and Aimi Rowe from Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery.
Jeff’s exhibition will provide a unique opportunity to view his original artwork up close and appreciate the artistry behind some of the most beloved imagery in science fiction and music.
