Hundreds of well-wishers queued early on Christmas Day to catch glimpses of the Royal Family as they attended morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham.
Our special CambsNews video of the occasion has already been viewed 900,000 times on YouTube.
The Royal Family was led by King Charles III and Queen Camilla as they walked the short distance to the parish church accompanied by other royals.
Missing of course was Prince Andrew who, according to palace insiders, had excluded himself from spending Christmas at Sandringham after a fresh controversy, this time over his alleged association with a Chinese spy.
However, his absence was hardly noticed by the crowd anxious to spot the many members of the Royal Family invited to spend the holiday period at Sandringham House.
And it was a rare chance to glimpse Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales who attended the service with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
