“How lovely is this,” says Wisbech Tweet after her visit to a wondrous Fenland pumpkin experience.
“As the sunflowers go past their best but still wave their heads up pop the pumpkins, let your children have fun inside the tunnels,” says Tweet.
“Then either choose a pumpkin from inside or even better let the walk through the pumpkin patch and pick their own.
“What better way for them to have a nature lesson while playing.”
As ever, Wisbech Tweet (look up the rapidly growing Facebook page to catch up on the positive side of Fenland life).
“I loved it, a perfect place for children to run and have fun,” says Wisbech Tweet.
“A way for children to learn about nature and how things are different in size and shape even if they grow next to each other.”
You can find the pumpkin experience at Fairview Nursery, Church Road, Emneth, PE14 8AF.
It is open 10am-4pm, Thursday to Sunday, throughout October and can be found at the top of Church Road, Emneth.
The indoor and outdoor traditional pumpkin patch opened on October 6.
“Push the wheelbarrows around the largest patch in the area… the size of 2 football pitches,” says Fairview.
“We have a variety of pumpkin sizes, types & colours – monster pumpkins, white pumpkins, knobbly pumpkins, striped pumpkins, Cinderella pumpkins to name just a few
“Explore the patch, having fun with the family, let the children run free making memories and capturing great photos. A bit of mud is all part of the fun, right?”
